Bahia de Coruña - Collection C. Kleiss
Berthed to Muelle Lequerica, at Gijón
This must be one of the longest-lived ships in the world merchant marine, as she was scrapped at the age of 112, commercially sailing to the end. Her old 150 H.P. reciprocating compound steam machine gave her about 7 knots. She was still consuming coal, about 10 MT a day, so her capacity of bunkers (35 MT) was not enough to go very far.
