Konstan - Collection C. Kleiss
At Palamós
At the beginning of the Civil War she was under the control of the Republican Government, making various trips until on 26/August/1936, when during a trip with iron ore from Bilbao to Gijón, she was located by the national battleship España close to Cabo Ajo, sending the destroyer Velasco to intercept and escort her to Ferrol. Close to Suances they were attacked by republican planes, without causing damage. The slow speed of the merchant left the destroyer exposed to new attacks, so it was decided to sink her by gunfire in front of Luarca.
