Collision of Atlantico

On 31 August 1978 she had a collision in Gibraltar Strait with the Italian ship Jolly Azzurro.
The Italian ship sank and the Atlantico got onboard the survivors.
There was one dead person on the Italian ship.
After the Atlantico proceeded to Algeciras, where we arrived on Indico few days later to pick up part of her cargo.

This photo was taken from the Indico poop deck. We were berthed just forward of the Atlantico.

The forward castle deck

In these is part of Atlantico crew, most of them from the Engine.

And in this part of the Italian vessel crew.
