Amir - Collection C. Kleiss
        She was built by Echevarrieta y Larrinaga in 1919 at Cádiz, together with five sister ships. Five were for Sociedad Vasco Valenciana de Navegación: Gadir, Nadir, Amir, Ophir y Menhir and one for the shipping company owned by the shipyard's partners: Agadir.
        She had several owners and names, until sold in 1943 to a German shipping company. Her life with this company was very short, because on 06/06/1944 whe eas torpedoed by the British submarine Sickle.
